# Drum Sander

**The drum sander is not a thickness planer! The drum sander is designed to remove very small amounts of material. NEVER remove more than 1/64" or a maximum of 1/32" of material in a single pass. If too much material is removed at one time the sanding belt on the drum will become clogged and the belt will be destroyed. Cleaning the belt is important. There are rubber cleaning sticks available to remove sanding remnants from the drum.**
